Quick Thoughts After A Beating

4-1! Good lord! Any way, as it has been said several times now, this was the biggest win of the season and a real statement game. Rafa Marquez atoned and then some for his blunder last week, but the pieces just seemed to fit together better this week. The players who really stood out day did so in big ways. Marquez was only dangerous three times, but he capitalized twice. His wonder goal to open the match was nothing short of breath taking and his service in on the own goal was unnerving to the defense. He got caught in possession a couple of times in similar ways to last week, but he worked hard all day long. His pass to Lindpere that lead to Robinson’s goal was a sight to see. Richards, Tchani, and Lindpere all played well. Dane did a good job to serve the ball back in, but he made good choices most of the day. Robinson played the role of super sub to perfection and found himself at the right place at the right time. Henry continues to show rust, but he worked well with Angel. On the penalty, Angel should have let Henry take it. He needs to get over his nerves to start scoring. Great job to bury the penalty though.

I’ll have a longer recap on Monday. Until then, enjoy the weekend and….

GO RED BULLS!
